First and foremost, your clothing must match your personality and your body shape… The rest is simple.

Sex appeal is highly personal. Everybody has a unique idea of what is sexy. Our particular preferences will determine whether an outfit is modest, revealing, or somewhere in between. It all comes down to personal preference and comfort.

So we need to be curious and do some soul-searching, such as seeking answers to these questions within us.

  • What do I want to communicate with my clothing?
  • How do I want my clothes to fit me?
  • Do I want to be showing off or hiding my body?

True style arises when your clothing reflects who you are as a person, complementing your personality while also flattering your figure. Everyone wants to seem and feel attractive.

I was a life model in a drawing class two weeks ago (I was doing a favour for an artist at a private drawing session). In August, I decided to embrace my gray hair and cut it shorter. This sketch is my favourite since it reflects my new hairdo. I must admit that I love my body. Despite some ups and downs following my two pregnancies, I am quite happy with my body and attractive appearance (Do you like the person you see in the mirror?). I definitely believe I make a great 52-year-old model for fashion shoots, too. 🌶️🌶️

Models in their twenties are used by the fashion industry to market brands and attire, and the message is clear: “This is how it could (or would or should) look on you.” However, it’s clear how disconnected these messages are from reality when you meet actual people on the street. Most importantly, if we consider that these items haven’t yet been tailored to your personality or body shape … Because as a stylist, I strongly believe that our fashion choices are influenced by our personality, our body shape, and a few more factors.

Let me describe how… I always prefer tighter, body-hugging cuts because I adore my body and feel sexy. Since I’m a very rebellious person, it must be somehow seductive and reveal some flesh. Being a rule breaker, it has to reflect my creative creation.

Which aspects of fit are most important to you? If you haven’t thought about it until now, perhaps now is the time to think about it.
